What material do I use to recover rugs?

Ive got some old rugs but it seems a shame to bin them as they were expensive. I have thought about reviving by re covering covering them. I dont know what kind of material to use though. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Does anyone know of any stores in Florida that sale Egyptian theme Rugs that actually have like pictures of the pharaoh face, pyramids, or king tut? I found some on the internet but I want to actually be able to go to a store and see them. Or if anyone knows a good website to check out? Thank You.

I’m looking for rugs for my bathrooms and kitchen that don’t have that rubber backing. I used that kind of rug and they stained my flooring. Any ideas or know where I can find rugs without that rubber backing on them?

I used one of those machines to clean a rug and it’s left it all streaky. I want to start again when it’s dry and not using the machine..so can anyone tell me what carpet cleaner to use or has any tips or suggestions. Any help appreciated. How do you clean your rugs/carpets?

I have two different rugs, two different sizes. I had both in my previous residence one is room size, the other is smaller. Since moving into my new home with thicker carpet I can’t keep them from “bubbling” throught the day. I have looked into carpet tapes, but those are for rugs that are on hardwood floors. Help?! I am tired of me and my two year old tripping all day!

I have a Persian rug hung on my wall. My girlfriend says that the rug is ugly and that hanging rugs on the wall — ugly or not — is tacky anyway. I think the rug is attractive, and that hanging rugs on the wall in general is a perfectly non-tacky method of decorating one’s house.

I have a beige (suede-looking) microfiber sofa and square leather ottoman as a coffee table. That kind of rug will go well with a new contemporary style home. Would a rug with a beige background look bad? And, where can I find affordable rugs?
