How do I get the marks made from the rug of the wood floor?

I bought a couple of area rugs & I have recently moved them & have found that the backing is leaving dull looking marks on the wood flooring. How do I remove the marks??
Any suggestions on what color of an area rug would look good with this bedding?

My living room/dining room is 15×22 and we’ve just installed hard woods. I want an area rug so my dogs won’t be as likely to scratch the floors.

but it still gets wavy & I’m afraid someone is going to trip.The rug used to lay on a similar pad but it was on limestone floors & I never had a problem.thanks for advice.

I have a thin, lightweight, 3×5 rug in my room. The floor is hardwood floor (but unwaxed). It is kind of like an “area-filler”, so my room doesn’t look so empty, therefore I don’t want to put anything on top of it to anchor it down. Simply walking over it causes it to slip & slide and move around. What can I do to hold it in place? Do they sell anything for things like this?

How do I clean a lambswool baby rug?

I got my lambswool rug as a hand-me-down so it didn’t have any washing instructions. Do I just get some wool wash & follow the instructions? My washer has a wool / hand wash cycle can I safely use that or should I hand wash myself?
BTW I’m in Australia.

I am trying to find a style of rug that is made of really thick knots or knobs or balls- I’m not even sure what words to describe it. Plummers has a pic of it on their website here:

I need help knowing if this type of rug has a generic name so I can look for other options from various rug sites but every search term I’ve tried doesn’t help. Or just point me to other sites that sell this style of rug if there is no name for that texture. Thanks!

The walls are gold. The sofa & loveseat: hunter green. The recliner is multi floral green,burgundy,mauve. The curtains are burgundy. The deco on the walls are floral with greens,burgundy,& tans. The floors are wood.
I need to use an area rug in the center of the sitting area and one long runner in the entrance into the hall.
Any suggestions on the color to go with? Thanks.

I have two large rugs, 9 X 11. One Belgian wool about 40 years old, one dhurrie about 20 years old. Light blue and green. It’s been several years since a cleaning, they are just dusty & etc. The rug place here charges more than 0 each to clean them, I’m thinking about taking them on the porch and using a rented carpet cleaner, then draping them over the fence to dry. Please answer If you have experience!

I want to paint my walls a different color other than white, the color it is now. i have a hardwood floor right now, but have huge rugs that are burgundy and some are burgundy and the center is a tan color. my kids are 7 & 8 yr olds so i dont wont carpet just yet. but when i do i want a burgundy color. i have my living room thene is magnolias. the back ground color of the pictures are a tanish color. the color i think is the closest to matching is a pecan twist. i found the color swatch at wal-mart. anyway someone help please. and also what color couches would look good with all these colors? because i want to change it also. right now i have a huge blue sectional. i want just a regular couch and chair what colors would look good. thanks in advance!!
