Is it necessary to wash my rug at the car?
I got the idea from my friend. He said that’s how he cleaned his mom’s rugs.
One of my dogs has white hair and sheds a LOT. There are white hairs embedded in the rug that I can’t get out with the vacuum or carpet cleaner.
If I use the pressure washer at the car wash.. will there be any drawbacks? Can it damage the rug? *It’s a huge cheap rug anyway from walmart*

Sounds like a good idea but the only thing is it’s going to be sopping wet, how are you ever going to get it dry. If you have a truck you could put it in the back of it once clean then take it home and hang it over a fence or something. Good luck!:)
I would just shampoo it with a shampooer.
If you’re not worried about the rug, it’s worth a try. But you might find that the pressure washer actually drives the dog hairs into the rug.
And, I too wonder how you will get home that huge, wet rug. You’ll need to find a good place for it to dry or it will start to mildrew.
If you need a new vacuum, I would suggest the Dyson Animal. Really works well with pet hair.
Years ago, I knew a man who used to take his daughter’s high chair to the car wash. Claimed it really cleaned out that caked on oatmeal and squash!
