I washed some rugs and dried them, now all I smell is burnt rubber. Any ideas on how to get rid of the smell!?

    Open windows, Fabreeze.
    Next time dry on low heat! Your backings will last longer.

    Yuck. Next time don’t dry them, hang them over something. In the meantime put them in a tote container with a lid with a bunch of newspapers in there.

    rewash them but this time do not put them in the dryer, hang to air dry.
