I have hardwood floors in my apartment; what can I do to reduce the noise that travels besides rugs?
I have a 2 bedroom apartment with hardwood floors. My roommate and I have started keep really different hours, so I’m trying to find ways to keep the noise down for both our sakes. We have rugs in all the common areas, but we can’t think of anything else to reduce the noise.

sound proofing ur walls, but thats a lot of work & it can get expensive… best solution is not 2 wear loud shoes in the apartment, or use carpet… although covering wood flooring is a real shame.
A nice thick pile shaggy rug will go a long way to muffle sounds. If not, a great big area rug will do it.
