how to keep a rug from running?

the rug in our house keeps sliding, its a very big and heavy rug on top of a carpet but it keeps running and pushing against the wall…can anyone help?

    they have these grip thingies that you can by at homedepot ot lowes. they lay flat under the rug so they aren’t seen. also, there are these sticky cloth things that you can buy there too that are supposed to stick to the ruc and carpet, but from experience, both work better when they are duct taped to the rug.
    you may also want to try putting a large piece of furniture on the rug.

    you can go to your local hardware store and buy a pad those can be placed underneath your rud. It has grips on the padding so that it doesnt slide around. It worked for me, I had the same problem with the rug at my front door. Everytime you would go to close it, the rug was in the way. I bought the padding and now its fine, I have no problems at all. Hope this helps you. (Check out Homedepo, Lowes).
