How do you get the corner of a large rug to lay down?

I have a large living room rug i didn’t pay alot of money for sometimes the corners raise up causing someone to trip. How can I solve that problem? I am putting that rug into my kitchen on my hardwood floor and I have tried velcro doesn’t work.

Got a needle and thread? Seriously! Take your needle and thread and put a couple of stiches int he rug and the under carpet. This way when you want to move it, you only have to clip a couple of strings.

If you dont have another carpet under it, like hardwood, put a little piece of velcro on the area rug and the floor. Some velcros come with a prepasted glue, this is what you want. You will be able to easily remove the strip and left over glue later. I hope this helps to give you some ideas. Good luck!

Try using a high tack double sidedtape, If you haveavice hard wood floor you may want to use weighted thread bead this can be sewn on and may be found in most craft stores. If the problem still happens try using a 1/2 – 3/4 " staple make sure to tap it down w/ a tap hammer, then fluff the carpet to avoid any possible hazard it may present.Good luck! If you plan to move the carpet alot you may want to stitch in lead plates into the corner. These aren’t easy to come by you could also use any flat piece of metal just hand sew a pocket intothe corners and insertthemetal pl8 and you shouldnt have anymore probs.
