How do I make a linoleum rug and where do I find materials?

I want to put a runner in a kitchen to protec a wooden floor. What would I glue the linoleum to?

    You can attach strips of non-slip material used to keep mats in place on the floor. This material is also sold in smaller rolls for use in drawers & on shelves. Keep it 1 – 2" away from the edge. Note: If the floor area to be covered gets any direct sunlight, discoloration will show where the runner has been. Also, when washing the floor, be sure it is totally dry before replacing the runner. Dampness underneath can also cause discoloration.
    Another option: Google floorcloths. Very durable, low profile floor covering, you paint yourself.
