Does shag area rug over a white carpet in the living room is pleasant to look at?
I was thinking of putting a spaghetti shag rug (ivory or silver) on top of my white wool carpet in the living room and putting a modern coffee table on top of it. Do shag rugs on carpets look ridiculous and are they only meant to be used on hardwood floors?

Shag rugs on carpets look great and your color choices are perfect for your color of carpet. Just make sure whatever color you choose blends with the rest of the colors of the room (furniture, walls, etc.)
