Do flokati rugs difficult to keep clean?

Terrible…I had an 8 x 10 and they are all wool and need to be hand washed…so being white I was doing this every 6 weeks…in the bathtub with woolite…that much wool when wet is equal to the weight of wet cement…it’s a beautiful rug….but a nigh mare to clean. I tried taking it to the laundry mat where they have those giant industrial machines…and they ruined it…..can’t say I was that unhappy…my days of slave to the rug are over!
