Could anyone tell me how to dye a rug?

Its kind of like a shaggy rug and is pink, i want to dye it beige but i don’t know where to start!!

Please help :)
Could you give me steps – if possible?

    I think it will depend on the material, and whether it is synthetic or natural, how large it is or can you move it, the problem with a large rug is going to be getting the color even, you could cut a few shags off and try a solution of bleach , wont hurt to try
