buying online Clearly, shopping for rugs online has many advantages over shopping the traditional way in a high street carpet shop.

A reputable online rug store will almost always have a larger stock pile than a brick and mortar carpet shop can cope with if and when physical space is not an issue.

For instance, here at Modern Style Rugs we don’t have storage issues because we get most of our rugs on-demand. When you want one of our quality rugs, we set about getting the rug of your choice to your home as fast as possible.

For you, the consumer, this means that you get a ‘fresh’ rug, so to speak. In your typical carpet shop, you may be choosing a rug that’s been lying around ‘in stock’ for months and sometimes even longer.

Whilst there is nothing wrong, per se, with the above, ask yourself this:

…given the choice, wouldn’t you rather have a brand new rug, recently made, ‘fresh’ and ‘springy’, brand new… over the same rug that’s been under a pile of rugs for the past 8 months?

If we had a carpet shop, we’d need to fill it with carpets before we could make a sale (have you ever seen an empty carpet shop?).

When it comes to you buying your rug… you can’t realistically expect your rug to be fresh out of the manufacturer.

You can always demand that you want a ‘fresh’ one, but the carpet shop owners are limited by their own constraints: they have to get rid of their stock whenever the opportunity arises, and when you want to buy a rug from them, they want to sell you a rug they already have in stock.

Our customers don’t experience this issue when buying their rug online from us.
