In the case of rug shopping (and to keep things easy) we can define one of the main causes of stress as doing something that we no longer want to do.
This applies to shopping in general. It can be fun to start with, but at some point the line between fun and tedious is crossed.
We’ve all been there. We all know instinctively when the fun factor is has expired.
Being caught in the middle of town on a busy Saturday morning, being pushed to and fro by the sway of the unrelenting crowd in and out of department stores, far away from your favourite chair, stops being fun when you’re struck by the sudden thought that you no longer want to be there.
That’s when the fun stops and stress sets in. And the longer we’re in a situation we don’t wish to be in, the more irritable we become.

I’m looking for a runner style matt for the hallway – but those clear ones – they look a bit like bath matts (?!) Very hard to describe! Do you know what they are called or where I could get one? I can’t see them on any rug sites and am thinking they probably sell them on ebay but I don’t know what to search by! Many thanks
